FROM wine-making and royal splendor to Roman history, the Isle of Wight has been featured in the latest series of Countryfile Summer Diaries.
Host John Craven paid a visit to Osborne House to see the results of extensive restoration work at the former home of Queen Victoria.
Anita Rani headed to Adgestone Vineyard to meet Russ Broughton, to see how they have become one of the few places in the UK making red wine.
She also gets to see the vineyard's first ginger crop, which is also set to be made into wine.
"People told us you can't grow ginger in the UK. It would appear they are wrong, and, yet again, the Island succeeds," said Russ.
She then heads to Brading Roman Villa, where finds out more about the Island's wine making history and helps clean it's renowned mosaics.
